Barbara Pyndus is a native born Saratogian who has identified with the moniker Galaxybabs since the beginning of her artistic career.  Originally used to market handmade jewelry, the “out of this world” vibe stuck. Then as a singer/songwriter on the open mic scene for decades, Babs would always improvise a band based on who was in the room at the moment and “Galaxybabs” grew into a more inclusive idea of experimentation and annual fundraising events ensued.  Her artistic career was fueled for many years working in the cosmetology industry specializing in Aveda color and bridal updos.  Babs made the most of the past years by celebrating her isolated reality through painting and joined the Saratoga Paint and Sip team in the spring of 2021.  This new opportunity has truly allowed her to shine and she looks forward to presenting her own original paintings in this Sunday night series.  With a background in theater, reiki, yoga and meditation, the Sunday night series hope’s to offer painters an alternative experience by exploring themes such as celestial and galactic images, angels, a chakra series and even abstract painting to live music!
