Steam: Art and Science – Life in the Sea
Wednesday, October 21 - 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
STEM + ART
Saratoga Paint and Sip & Mad Science of the Capital District have come together to provide a weekly youth STEAM class. We aim to spark the excitement of young people for ART & SCIENCE in a setting that allows them to explore, question, and experiment with fascinating facts, projects and activities. Through discovery based learning, students carry out experiments and create artistic masterpieces and see how art & science works in the real world. Each week students will explore a new theme and leave with a take home science project and painting. Recommended age is 7-12.
Week 3: Life in the Sea
The ocean holds many mysteries. Children learn about its diverse life forms – from plankton to whales! They discover underwater habitats, and learn how humans can help protect ocean life. The Anaglyph Sea Puzzle lets children dive in and take the ocean home.
